As one of the advanced technologies of desalination in modern times, RO water
treatment has been applied to wider fields. In the fields of electric power, chemical
industry, drinking industry, pharmaceutical manufacturing, electronic industry and so on,
it is not only used to produce desalted water and drinkable water, but also to the fields
of waste water treatment, materials recovery and concentration. The wide use of RO
water treatment has been attributed to the following features: large scale of impurities
removal not only removes the soluble inorganic salts, but also removes various kinds of
organic impurity; higher rate of desalination and water recycling would entrap solute with
a diameter of even several nanometer; it is easy to operate, auto-control and maintain
with a simple separation unit.
